A hearty and delicious potato pizza casserole that combines the flavors of pizza with the comforting texture of potatoes.

- 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add onions, bell peppers, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the beef. Cook until vegetables are soft.
- In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Spread half of the beef mixture over the potatoes, followed by half of the pizza sauce.
- Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese and half of the pepperoni over the top.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Serve with fresh basil for added flavor.
- Experiment with different toppings like olives or mushrooms.
- For a spicy kick, add jalapeños to the layers.
