A rich and creamy seafood chowder with a blend of fresh seafood and vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb scallops
  • 1 lb white fish, cubed
  • 4 slices bacon, diced
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups potatoes, diced
  • 1 cup corn kernels
  • 4 cups seafood stock
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add onions and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  3. Stir in the potatoes and corn, cooking for 5 minutes.
  4. Add seafood stock and bring to a simmer. Cook until potatoes are tender.
  5. Reduce heat, stir in cream and butter. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Add shrimp, scallops, and white fish. Cook until seafood is opaque.
  7. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in reserved bacon.
  8. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • Use fresh seafood for the best flavor.
  • Serve with crusty bread for a complete meal.
