Description

Delicious stuffed pasta filled with a savory mixture of cheese and herbs.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Make the pasta dough by mixing flour and eggs in a bowl. Knead until smooth.
  2. Wrap the dough in plastic and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, combine ricotta, Parmesan, basil, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  4. Roll out the dough into thin sheets using a pasta machine.
  5. Cut the sheets into squares, about 3 inches wide.
  6. Place a tablespoon of filling in the center of each square.
  7. Fold the pasta over to form a triangle and seal the edges tightly.
  8. Boil salted water and cook the pasta for 4-5 minutes until al dente.
  9. Heat marinara sauce in a pan with olive oil.
  10. Serve the stuffed pasta in bowls topped with sauce and additional Parmesan.

Notes

  • You can use different cheeses for variation.
  • Consider adding sautéed mushrooms or spinach to the filling.
  • Plating can be enhanced with fresh herbs on top.
