Ingredients

  • 2 slices of sourdough bread
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked ground beef
  • 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef, taco seasoning, and diced tomatoes.
  3. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  4. Layer cheese, beef mixture, and jalapeños on the unbuttered side of one slice.
  5. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side facing out.
  6. Cook for 4-5 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and let it cool for a minute before slicing.

  • Experiment with different cheeses for varied flavor.
  • Add avocado for creaminess.
