- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 package (32 oz) tater tots
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until combined.
- Mix in the frozen mixed vegetables and half of the cheddar cheese.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly in the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Layer the tater tots evenly over the beef mixture.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top of the tater tots.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicy version, add diced jalapeños to the beef mixture.
- Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
- Use different cheeses like Monterey Jack or pepper jack for varied flavor.
