- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup marinara sauce
Instructions
- Make the pasta dough by combining flour and eggs. Knead until smooth.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Prepare the filling by mixing ricotta, Parmesan, nutmeg, and salt.
- Roll out the dough to thin sheets. Cut into squares.
- Place a small amount of filling in the center of each square.
- Fold the pasta over to form a triangle and press the edges to seal.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook tortellini for 3-4 minutes.
- In a skillet, heat oil and marinara sauce. Add cooked tortellini and toss gently.
- Plate the dish and garnish with additional Parmesan if desired.
Notes
- For a different filling, try sautéed mushrooms or spinach.
- Serve with a drizzle of balsamic reduction for added flavor.
- Experiment with different sauces such as pesto or Alfredo.
