Ingredients

  • 1 lb of ground meat (beef, chicken, or turkey)
  • 1 cup of cooked rice
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 can of diced tomatoes (14 oz)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Remove the core from the cabbage and carefully peel off 10-12 leaves.
  3. Blanch the cabbage leaves in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until softened. Remove and set aside.
  4. In a skillet, sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
  5. Add ground meat, cook until browned. Stir in cooked rice, diced tomatoes, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  6. Place a generous amount of the filling in the center of each cabbage leaf, fold sides, and roll tightly.
  7. Arrange rolls in a baking dish, seam side down. Pour any remaining tomato mixture over the top.
  8. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for 30-40 minutes.
