Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Blanch the cabbage leaves in boiling water for 2 minutes to soften.
- In a bowl, combine cooked rice, diced vegetables, cheese, salt, pepper, and herbs.
- Place a generous amount of the filling in each cabbage leaf.
- Roll the leaves tightly, tucking in the sides to secure the filling.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Brown the cabbage rolls on all sides for about 5 minutes.
- Transfer the rolls to a baking dish and cover with foil.
- Bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs.
Notes
- Experiment with different fillings such as quinoa or ground meat.
- For a vegetarian option, omit cheese and add more vegetables.
- Consider drizzling with a sauce for added flavor.
