Description
A gourmet white cheddar grilled cheese sandwich featuring crispy bread and melted cheese.
Ingredients

- 4 slices of sourdough bread
- 6 ounces of white cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of fresh thyme, chopped
Instructions
- Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Mix garlic powder and thyme into the butter for added flavor.
- Place two slices of bread, butter side down, in a preheated skillet over medium heat.
- Evenly distribute the shredded white cheddar on top of the two slices in the skillet.
- Top with the remaining slices of bread, butter side up.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
- Carefully flip the sandwiches and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from skillet and let cool for a minute before slicing.
Notes
- Experiment with different types of bread for varying textures.
- Try adding caramelized onions or tomatoes for extra flavor.
