Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture; combine until dough forms.
  6. Roll out the dough and cut shapes using cookie cutters.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are golden.
  8. Let cookies cool completely.
  9. For royal icing, beat powdered sugar, meringue powder, and water until smooth.
  10. Add food coloring if desired and decorate cooled cookies.
