Instructions

  1. Rinse the black eyed peas under cold water.
  2. In the pressure cooker, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
  4. Add black eyed peas, water, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  5. Close the lid and cook on high pressure for 15 minutes.
  6. Release pressure naturally for 10 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.
  7. Stir and serve hot.
