Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  9. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
  10. Transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
