Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons meringue powder
  • 45 tablespoons water
  • Food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth.
  4. Add egg and vanilla to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  6. Chill the dough for 30 minutes.
  7. Roll out the dough and cut into bunny shapes.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are golden.
  9. Let cookies cool completely.
  10. In a bowl, beat powdered sugar, meringue powder, and water to make icing.
  11. Add food coloring if desired.
  12. Decorate cookies with icing and let dry.
