  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Add molasses, egg, and vanilla to the butter mixture and blend well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
  6. Roll dough into balls and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are firm.
  8. Let cookies cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
