Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cream of tartar, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture; mix until well combined.
  6. Spread the batter evenly in a greased baking pan.
  7. In a small bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon.
  8. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until lightly golden.
  10. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
