Delicious chocolate pecan thumbprint cookies filled with chocolate ganache.
Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips (for filling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.
- Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
- Stir in chopped pecans.
- Form dough into balls and place on a baking sheet.
- Make an indentation in each ball with your thumb.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Remove from oven and fill each indentation with melted chocolate chips.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes for easier handling.
- Substitute walnuts if desired.
