Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Crushed peppermint candies for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Mix chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter in a bowl.
  3. Press the crumb mixture into the bottom of a springform pan.
  4. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Stir in vanilla and peppermint extracts.
  7. Add sour cream and mix until combined.
  8. Fold in chocolate chips.
  9. Pour the cheesecake batter over the crust.
  10. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until the center is set.
  11. Let it cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  12. Top with whipped cream and crushed peppermint candies before serving.
