A healthy and simple recipe for breakfast muffins suitable for the Daniel Fast.
Ingredients

- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or almonds
- 1/2 cup dried fruits (raisins or cranberries)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, combine almond milk, maple syrup, and applesauce.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the nuts and dried fruits.
- Line a muffin tin with liners and fill each cup with batter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Store muffins in an airtight container.
- These can be frozen for later use.
- Feel free to substitute fruits and nuts as desired.
