Delicious eggnog thumbprint cookies filled with creamy eggnog frosting.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup eggnog
- 1/2 cup more powdered sugar for frosting
- 1 tablespoon milk for frosting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and powdered sugar.
- Add vanilla extract and nutmeg to the butter mixture.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Mix in eggnog until combined.
- Form dough into balls and place on a baking sheet.
- Make an indentation in each ball with your thumb.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Let cookies cool before filling with frosting.
- For frosting, mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
- Fill each indentation with frosting.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- Use fresh eggnog for best flavor.
- Optional: sprinkle extra nutmeg on top of frosting.
