Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light.
  4. Add egg and vanilla, mixing well.
  5. Gradually add flour mixture, stirring until combined.
  6. Roll out dough on a floured surface and cut into flower shapes.

  8. Let cookies cool completely.
  9. In a bowl, combine powdered sugar, meringue powder, and water for royal icing.
  10. Divide icing and color as desired.
