- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs

- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for rolling)
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon (for rolling)
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
- 2 tablespoons milk (for frosting)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture, mixing well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon for rolling.
- Shape dough into balls, then roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Let cookies cool completely.
- For frosting, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Frost cooled cookies and enjoy.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- For a thicker frosting, reduce the milk.
- You can add more cinnamon to the frosting for extra flavor.
