Ingredients

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add egg and vanilla to the butter mixture, and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  6. Roll out the dough and cut shapes.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
  8. Let cool completely before decorating.
  9. For royal icing, beat egg white and lemon juice, then add powdered sugar until smooth.
  10. Decorate cookies as desired with royal icing.
