Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Add molasses and egg to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
  6. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Cut shapes using cookie cutters and place them on a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until firm. Let cool.
  9. Decorate with royal icing once cooled.

  • Use different food colors for icing to create vibrant designs.
