  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup sugar for filling
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened for filling
  • 1 cup powdered sugar for frosting
  • 2 tablespoons milk for frosting

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix flour, brown sugar, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Add melted butter and egg to the yeast mixture and combine.
  4. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients. Knead until smooth.
  5. Let dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  6. Roll out dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter on top.
  7. Mix sugar, cinnamon, and ginger for the filling. Sprinkle it over the buttered dough.
  8. Roll the dough tightly and cut into 12 rolls.
  9. Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for 30 minutes.
  10. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes.
  11. Mix powdered sugar and milk for frosting. Drizzle over warm rolls.
