- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 large egg
- Royal icing for decoration
- Assorted candies for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa, baking soda, spices, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth.
- Add molasses and egg, mix well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, combine until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough and cut shapes for the house.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, let cool.
- Assemble the house using royal icing.
- Decorate with candies.

- Make sure the pieces are completely cool before assembling.
