Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cups powdered sugar for icing
  • 2 tablespoons water for icing
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract for icing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Add molasses and egg to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients.
  6. Roll out the dough and cut into snowflake shapes.
  7. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.
  8. Let cool before icing.
  9. Mix powdered sugar, water, and vanilla for icing.
  10. Decorate cookies with icing as desired.
