Instructions

  3. In another bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until creamy.
  4. Add molasses, egg, and vanilla, then mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture.
  6. Chill the dough for at least one hour.
  7. Roll out the dough and cut into shapes for the village.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until firm.
  9. Cool completely before decorating with royal icing and candies.
