Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • Green food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and brown sugar.
  4. Add molasses and egg to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  6. Chill the dough for 30 minutes.
  7. Roll out the dough and cut into house shapes.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until firm.
  9. Let cool completely before decorating.
  10. Mix powdered sugar with water to create icing.
  11. Add green food coloring to the icing.
  12. Use icing to assemble the house and decorate with candies.
