Instructions

  1. Rinse the black eyed peas under cold water.
  2. Add peas, water, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and bay leaf to the instant pot.
  3. Close the lid and set the valve to sealing.
  4. Cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
  5. Allow natural release for 10 minutes, then quick release remaining pressure.
  6. Remove the bay leaf and serve hot.
