Ingredients

- 1 cup black eyed peas
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Soak black eyed peas in water overnight.
- Drain and rinse the peas.
- In a bowl, mix flour, salt, and pepper.
- Coat the peas in the flour mixture.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot.
- Fry the coated peas until golden brown.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot.
