Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies

Instructions

  1. Grease an 8-inch square baking dish.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa, butter, and evaporated milk.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  4. Boil for 5 minutes without stirring.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in peppermint extract and chocolate chips.
  6. Mix until chocolate is melted and smooth.
  7. Pour into the prepared baking dish.
  8. Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies on top.
  9. Let cool at room temperature until set.
  10. Cut into squares and serve.
