Ingredients

- Egg Whites – 3 large or 1/2 cup of meringue powder
- Water – as needed
- Lemon Juice – 1 tablespoon (optional)
Instructions
- Sift powdered sugar into a large bowl.
- Add egg whites or meringue powder to the bowl.
- Mix on low speed until combined.
- Gradually add water until desired consistency is reached.
- If using, add lemon juice and mix well.
- Test consistency by using a spatula to create a peak.
- Adjust with more sugar or water as needed.
Notes
- Thicker icing is best for outlining.
- Thinner icing works well for flooding.
