  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons meringue powder
  • 6 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  6. Chill dough for 30 minutes.
  7. Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thick and cut shapes.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  9. Let cookies cool completely.
  10. In a bowl, combine powdered sugar, meringue powder, and water; mix until smooth.
  11. Decorate cookies with royal icing as desired.
