Description

Delicious small batch snickerdoodle cookies with a cinnamon sugar coating.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (for rolling)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
  4. Add egg and vanilla to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet ingredients.
  6. In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons sugar with cinnamon.
  7. Roll dough into small balls, then coat in cinnamon sugar mixture.
  8. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  10. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Store cookies in an airtight container.
  • For chewier cookies, slightly underbake.
